Small Fire Breaks Out at Liverpool’s Novotel Hotel – Hanover Street Shut

A small fire has broken out at the Novotel on Hanover Street, Liverpool, forcing police to close the busy road. Fire engines and paramedics rushed to the scene, with emergency sirens blaring from inside the building.

Hanover Street Locked Down

The blaze triggered an alarm that echoed through the area. Police have shut Hanover Street, causing disruption in this central spot. Local bus services from L1 Bus Station are now being diverted down Duke Street until further notice.

Guests Evacuated as Precaution

It’s not yet clear where exactly in the hotel the fire started. A large emergency service presence remains on-site. Hotel staff confirmed guests were evacuated for safety but are now being allowed back inside.

Hotel spokesperson said: “Guests from the hotel are now being allowed back inside. They were evacuated as a precaution.”
