Security Guard Slashed Outside London Co-op in Brutal Attack!

Violent Stabbing Shocks Anerley Road

A security guard was seriously injured after trying to stop a gang of suspected thieves near a Co-op on Anerley Road, London. The attack happened during a busy book fair next door, leaving the area in chaos as emergency services rushed in.

Eyewitnesses say the guard confronted the thieves, but one of them smashed a wine bottle and used it as a weapon. The guard suffered stabbing wounds to his hand and leg, leaving a bloody trail on the street and parked cars nearby.

“We tried to help the security by laying him down and raising his leg. We made a makeshift splint for his arm and tried to make pillows and a blanket with bubble wrap,” said a shocked witness.

Rapid Emergency Response

Police arrived about 15 minutes after the attack, with ambulance crews following shortly after. Officers took over from quick-thinking bystanders who had started first aid on the injured guard, who was rushed to hospital. His condition remains unknown.

A local described the scene: “I was driving down Anerley Road and saw around 30 people standing by the Co-op. Then about 10 police cars and an ambulance turned up. Hours later, the whole area was still cordoned off.”

Police Hunt Suspects as Investigation Continues

The Co-op area remains sealed off as forensic teams comb the scene. Officers are speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage to track down those responsible. So far, no arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a stabbing incident near the Co-op on Anerley Road. The security guard sustained injuries to his hand and leg. Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact us.”
