Brighton police were called to Slinfold Road just before midnight on Thursday, 29th December, following reports of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived at 11:45 PM, the suspects had already fled, leaving behind a scene of chaos.

Shortly after midnight, another alarm was raised – two men tried to steal a car on Manor Hill, Brighton. Witnesses say the pair were armed and threatened the property’s residents before making their getaway.

“It is thought the two incidents may be linked and enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspects,” a police spokesperson said. “Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or has relevant video footage, should contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 009 of 30/12.”
