Car Fire Spree Sparks Panic Across Kent

Shortly after midnight on Monday, March 14, Kent Police were alerted by Kent Fire and Rescue about a car ablaze on Newcastle Hill, Newcastle town. The fire was deemed suspicious and quickly sparked a police probe.

Multiple Vehicles Torched Across Town

Within minutes, fires broke out at several locations, including Finsbury Road, Broad Street, Anns Road, Church Road, and Denmark Hill. Among the targets was a campervan with occupants inside — thankfully, no one was hurt. In total, ten vehicles suffered damage in the spree.

Two Men Nabbed Over Arson Attacks

Officers quickly responded, reviewing CCTV footage and arresting two men from Ramsgate. The 20-year-old faces charges of arson and assault, while the 19-year-old is held on suspicion of arson and cannabis possession.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
