Two cops hurt in high-speed smash on A12 chase in East London!
Wild Chase Ends in Crash at Green Man Roundabout
Two police officers were left injured after a frantic high-speed pursuit on the A12 yesterday afternoon (June 10). The drama kicked off around 4.20pm on Cathall Road, when officers tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle that refused to stop.
The chase roared onto the northbound A12, ending in a nasty collision with a police car at the Green Man Roundabout at about 4.40pm.
Officers and Fleeing Suspects Hospitalised
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene. Both police officers were hurt, with one believed to have a fractured arm. They were swiftly taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver and two passengers in the fleeing vehicle also needed hospital checks as a precaution.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: “The driver of the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Major Traffic Chaos as A12 Closed
The crash brought the A12 northbound to a complete standstill, causing huge tailbacks as emergency crews worked to clear the wrecked vehicles. The road has now reopened, but delays hit the area hard during the closure.
