A21 Shut for Three Hours Over Welfare Concern Near Tonbridge

The A21 between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks Weald was shut for about three hours this morning after emergency services rushed to a welfare call.

Police and Medics Rush to Scene

At around 6:23am, officials received a call raising concerns for a person’s welfare near the Quarry Hill Road overbridge on the A21. Police cordoned off the area and stopped all traffic in both directions to keep everyone safe.

Delays and Disruption for Commuters

The closure caused heavy delays as drivers scrambled for alternative routes. The road finally reopened at about 10:30am once the incident was resolved.

Authorities have not shared further details but confirmed support services were on site to help.
