Fire Erupts at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading
Firefighters from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue rushed to tackle a blaze at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading this morning, Monday 4th January 2021.
Smoke Spotted on Roof Sparks Alarm
Crews from across Reading scrambled after smoke was spotted billowing from the hospital’s rooftop. Firefighters have been seen battling the flames on the roof, working to bring the situation under control.
No Injuries Reported at Mental Health Facility
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Prospect Park Hospital is the main NHS site for mental health care in Berkshire, making the fire a serious concern.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) have been contacted for comment and are continuing their operations.
