The 16-hand-high horse had sunk deep into the mud—right up to its head—and was exhausted from struggling to free itself.
Specialist Animal Rescue Unit Steps In
The fire service’s Animal Rescue Unit quickly arrived on the scene with an all-terrain rescue vehicle. Using ropes and straps, firefighters carefully hauled the young horse out of the muck.
The animal was safely returned to its owner, who was waiting nearby.
