Blaze erupts in Folkestone flat as firefighters rush to rescue man
Kitchen fire breaks out on third floor
Smoke and flames tore through a third-floor flat on Bayle Street, Folkestone, this evening. Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and tackled the blaze head-on, using a high-pressure hose reel to douse the flames.
Man rescued and taken to hospital
Fire crews heroically pulled one man from the burning property. Paramedics quickly took him to hospital for a precautionary check after he inhaled smoke. Thankfully, he is in a stable condition.
Cause of fire remains a mystery
