Tragic Crash on Blind Foot Road Claims Life of 31-Year-Old Man
Police were called shortly after 10am GMT today following a serious collision between a Renault Scenic and a Nissan Almera at the junction of Blind Foot Road and Mossborough Road.
Driver Dies, Others Seriously Injured
The Nissan driver, a 31-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
The driver and passenger of the Renault Scenic, a man and a woman, sustained serious injuries but their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigation Underway – Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Simon Duffy of Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit expressed condolences to the family. He said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the driver who very sadly passed away.”
He added: “The investigation is in its early stages. We urge anyone who was near Blind Foot Road or Mossborough Road around the time of the collision and saw anything, or has dashcam footage, to contact us immediately.”
