Cop Mowed Down in Shocking Hit-and-Run Outside North Baddesley Co-op

Police are hunting for witnesses after a police officer was deliberately hit by a car in North Baddesley before the driver sped off.

Incident Sparks Police Manhunt

The drama unfolded at 11.45am on Tuesday, June 7, inside the Co-op car park near the junction of Botley Road and 1 Road.

A male officer approached a gold-coloured Ford Mondeo and spoke to the driver through the window. Suddenly, the driver reversed, slammed into the officer, then fled the scene at speed.

Officer Injured but Staying on Duty

The officer suffered minor injuries to his hand and leg but remained on duty following the collision.

Police Appeal for Help

Detectives urge anyone who witnessed the incident or spotted a gold Ford Mondeo in the area around that time to get in touch.
