Sellafield Supremos Nab Top Diversity Award
The team behind Sellafield’s major projects has smashed it by winning a prestigious diversity and inclusion accolade.
The National Centre for Diversity has officially recognised the Programme and Project Partners for blending the best from five firms to champion equality across their 1,500-strong squad.
Boss Duncan Elliott: ‘We’re Just Getting Started’
“This recognition means the world to everyone in the partnership,” said managing director Duncan Elliott.
“With people from loads of backgrounds and skills, we want everyone to bring their whole selves to work, feel valued, and be part of something exciting.”
“It’s a great first step, but we’re only just warming up. Expect us to keep pushing hard for 16 years and beyond.”
Big Partnership, Big Plans
- The Programme and Project Partners link Sellafield Ltd, KBR, Morgan Sindall, Jacobs, and Altrad Babcock.

- Staff feedback drives their fresh training and new ways of working.
Diversity Chiefs Praise Rapid Progress
Solat Chaudhry, CEO of the National Centre for Diversity, said: “This is the first programme of its kind to bag the Investors in Diversity Award – huge congratulations to all involved.”
“The team has quickly shown serious commitment to fairness, respect, and inclusion, which is clear to everyone across the partnership.”
Laura Doughty, Sellafield’s head of culture and sustainability, added:
“Going for this accreditation was a bold move, but I’m so proud we’re the first programme team to win it.”
“Inclusive behaviours are key to building a thriving, collaborative culture that’ll help attract the diverse talent we need for major infrastructure projects.”
The programme’s inclusive culture now extends beyond the core partners to eight long-term delivery partners across the UK, all held to the same high standards.
Sellafield’s team is the first in the nuclear sector to scoop this diversity award – setting the stage for others to follow their lead.
