Three Fire Engines Race to Bedroom Blaze in Chatham
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) dashed three fire engines to Castle Road, Chatham, after a bedroom fire broke out on Monday 5th January 2026 at about 6.45pm.
Firefighters quickly donned breathing gear and tackled the flames with hose reel jets, bringing the blaze under control in no time.
Three Treated as Firefighters Battle Flames
Three people received treatment on the scene before being handed over to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for further care.
The KFRS Volunteer Response Team also turned up to support residents affected by the blaze.
Cause of Bedroom Fire Still a Mystery
The origin of the fire remains unknown as investigators continue their inquiries.
