Tragic Death of Alfie Found Near Railway Lines
Police were scrambled around 7pm on Monday, 8 February after a man was found unresponsive near the railway lines in Green Lane Recreation Ground.
Despite frantic efforts from the public and the London Ambulance Service, Alfie was pronounced dead shortly after emergency teams arrived. His family have been informed, but police say the death is treated as unexplained and not suspicious.
Post-Mortem Yields No Answers
A post-mortem on 15 February failed to identify the cause of Alfie’s death. Experts are now conducting further tests to uncover what happened.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
The Met’s South West Local Investigations team is leading the probe.
Detective Inspector Andy Griffin said: “Alfie’s family and community are devastated by the loss of such a vibrant young man. We are working hard to find out what happened, but need any information from anyone who was near Green Lane Recreation Ground on 8 February or who spoke with Alfie before his death.
“No detail is too small – if you can help, please contact the investigation team.”
