12 year old girl seriously injured following 4 vehicle crash outside school


Three people have suffered ‘life-threatening injuries’ following a four-vehicle crash outside Port Regis School in Motcombe, Shaftesbury this morning.

Officers were called out just after 8.35 this morning following reports of a multi vehicle collision outside the school. Three people have been rushed to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance, including a 12-year-old girl, a female in her 40s, and a male. Another young girl has suffered serious injuries.

The road has been sealed off to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.  Three air ambulances, Four road ambulances and four rapid response vehicles attended the scene.

Two fire crews from Shaftesbury and one from Gillingham also attended to extracted the casualties trapped in the wreckage. The road is expected to be closed for the next couple of hours and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Witnesses or anyone with information to the collision should contact police on 101.
