Honey G has snubbed North End, rejecting a personal appearance to switch on the beleaguered shopping area’s christmas lights – despite news of a new Lidl branch opening.
Harrow’s premier Jewish hip hop artist is reported to have demanded a staggering £5,000 appearance fee for the gig, according to her agent, Harvey Winklestein.
“Honey doesn’t come cheap,” Her agent Winklestein. “To have an artist with Honey’s megastar profile costs.”
“She also spits out rhymes specially written for the area, as well as already starting work on a uniquely choreographed b-boy routine with Council chief, Donna Jones,” he added.
Council sources revealed that the budget for the festive event only stretched to £40 and a meal for two at Harvester.
