Knife-Wielding Gang Targets Man in Gosport Street Robbery
Police are hunting four men after a terrifying knife robbery attempt in Gosport. The victim, a 30-year-old man, was ambushed just after 10pm on Thursday, June 13, while walking between Harris Road and Gregson Avenue.
Four Hooded Men Demand Cash
The group of four white males, aged 18 to 25 and wearing hooded tops, trapped the man on a quiet, unlit footpath. They threatened him with a knife, demanding money. But the victim fought back, causing the gang to flee without any loot.
The man suffered minor cuts to his hand in the scuffle.
Police Urge Public to Stay Vigilant
Detective Constable Graham Skull said: “This attack took place along a quiet, unlit footpath near to the new bus route. This kind of group attack is rare in this area. We advise people to stick to well-lit areas and walk with others whenever possible.”
