Police Appeal for Witnesses

“This is an extremely rare incident and doesn’t seem linked to any other reports,” said DC Julie Way. “The premise was targeted at night during wet and windy weather when few people were around.”

Investigators are still trying to confirm if the weapon was a real handgun or an imitation. DC Way added, “I’m especially keen to hear from a man and a woman who used the store shortly beforehand and may have seen what happened. I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have found discarded clothing nearby.”

Anyone with information is urged to come forward and help catch the culprit behind this bold robbery.
