Chaos on the M3 as three lanes are completely blocked, causing massive tailbacks at the Berkshire-Surrey border. Emergency services rushed to the scene following a serious collision involving three lorries.
Rescue Teams Battle to Free Trapped Driver
Surrey Fire and Rescue sent three appliances from Camberley and Woking to tackle the crash. Firefighters had to free at least one person trapped inside a vehicle. The smash happened on the northbound carriageway near junction 12 of the M25.
Traffic Hell Back to Bagshot
Gridlock has quickly spread with queues stretching all the way back to junction 3 at Bagshot. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while emergency teams work to clear the wreckage.
