Shotgun, Drugs, and Cash: Couple Busted in West London Sting
A man and woman were caught red-handed after a sawn-off shotgun and drugs were found in a West London taxi. The joint National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police Organised Crime Partnership (OCP) swooped in during a surveillance operation on Kensal Road.
Taxi Stop Uncovers Deadly Weapon and Cocaine
On Friday 12 June, 32-year-old Nicola Tomlinson was arrested as officers intercepted the taxi she was travelling in. A sawn-off shotgun and five shotgun cartridges were recovered from the back of the vehicle. Tomlinson was also found with what’s believed to be cocaine.
Cash, Charges, and Court Date
Tomlinson’s partner, 36-year-old Peter O’Donnell, was grabbed shortly after trying to leave his flat on Chesterton Road in another taxi. Police discovered nearly £17,000 in cash inside his rucksack. Armed officers backed the operation.
Both were taken to a local police station. Tomlinson faces charges of firearm possession and possession and supply of class A drugs. O’Donnell was charged with concealing criminal property, supply of class A drugs, and racially aggravated harassment following an incident at the station.
The duo are set to appear at Highbury Magistrates Court on Monday 15 June.
