Second Man Charged Over Lambeth Murder of Salem Koudou
Detectives have charged a second suspect in the brutal murder of 20-year-old Salem Koudou in Lambeth last month.
Yassein Bullock, 18, Charged with Murder
On Friday, 28 August, 18-year-old Yassein Bullock from Fiveways Road, SW9, was charged with Salem’s murder. He is being held in custody and will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 29 August.
Bullock joins 27-year-old Darius Kwakye, charged with the same offence on 27 August. Kwakye, from Prentis Road, SW16, appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court the same day and is remanded until his next hearing at the Old Bailey on 1 September.
The Deadly Incident on Overton Road
The tragedy unfolded on Thursday, 20 August, around 5.55pm. Police, London Ambulance Service, and Air Ambulance rushed to Overton Road, SW9, after reports of a stabbing.
- Salem Koudou was found with fatal stab wounds on nearby Wynne Road and later died in hospital at 8.53pm.
- A 26-year-old man also suffered stab injuries, went to hospital himself, but has since been discharged.
Further Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
The 26-year-old victim was initially arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder but has been released with no further action. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm but was released on bail to return in September.
Another 18-year-old man arrested in Essex on 24 August on suspicion of murder has also been released on bail.
