London County Lines Dealer Caged for Over Six Years After £28k Drug Haul Seized in Wiltshire
A London drug dealer caught red-handed in a major Wiltshire Police crackdown has been slammed behind bars for six years and 219 days.
Major Drug Bust in Salisbury
Darren Walcott, 40, from North Circular Road, London, was nabbed on September 14, 2020, after officers stopped his Skoda Octavia in Salisbury. On searching his London home, cops uncovered a whopping £28,000 worth of Class A crack cocaine and heroin, alongside £4,000 in cash.
Guilty Plea Ends County Lines Reign
At Swindon Crown Court on November 5, Walcott admitted multiple offences, including supply and possession of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as handling criminal property. The judge handed him a hefty jail term to crack down on his county lines racket.
Operation Fortitude Cracks Down
“County lines dealers bring drugs, violence and exploitation from cities like London into smaller towns,” said PC James Isaac from Wiltshire Police’s Operation Fortitude team. “We’re working relentlessly to stop these criminals, seize their drugs and weapons, and get them locked up.”
Walcott’s conviction sends a clear warning to county lines criminals running rampant across the UK’s rural communities.
