Brutal McDonald's Mugging Ends in Jail for Teen
Early Morning Theft Sparks Violent Revenge
Kaspers Zukovskis, 20, launched a chilling attack in Peterborough after a petty dispute over fake Apple earphones. On 22 August, around 4am, Zukovskis confronted a 19-year-old victim inside McDonald’s on Bourges Boulevard, demanding £20 he claimed was owed. When the victim denied it, Zukovskis snatched his phone and forced him to reset it.
Violence Escalates in Public
A month later, the victim was out with friends at Viersen Platz on 28 September when Zukovskis returned—with two accomplices. When the teenager tried to walk away, Zukovskis punched him and slammed him to the ground. The gang then battered the victim and stole his phone.
The victim’s 21-year-old friend tried to step in but was viciously kicked and assaulted. His phone was also stolen during the attack.
Justice Served at Peterborough Crown Court
Zukovskis, from Tirrington, Bretton, Peterborough, was arrested and pleaded guilty to robbery, theft, and handling stolen goods. On Tuesday 22 December, he was handed a three-year sentence at a Youth Offenders Institute.
DC Andrew Donaldson said: “Zukovskis targeted the victims following a petty dispute about the sale of some earphones. His brazen and violent behaviour was completely unacceptable and I hope the victims feel some measure of comfort following the sentencing.”
