Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on Dorset’s A35
Dorset Police were called at 2.17pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, after a white Triumph motorcycle crashed on the A35 Puddletown bypass near Tolpuddle.
Tragically, the rider, a man in his 50s, died at the scene. His family has been informed.
Road Closure Causes Delays
The A35 was shut down while emergency crews dealt with the accident. The road reopened after 8pm once investigators completed their work.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Police Sergeant Geraint Butler of the traffic unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who very sadly died.
“An investigation is underway and I urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
“If you have dashcam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it, please get in touch.”
“Thanks go to the public for their patience during the road closure, which was essential for a thorough scene examination.”
