Two Men Killed in Portsmouth Road Horror Crash
Tragic Crash Claims Lives on James Callaghan Drive
Marvin Paul Gillard, 48, from Gosport, and Andrew Mark Kimber, 44, of Fareham, died in a serious collision involving a Peugeot 207 and a Renault Megane on James Callaghan Drive, Portsmouth, just after 7 p.m.
Despite desperate efforts from emergency services and passersby, both men were pronounced dead at the scene. A 13-year-old boy was also rushed to hospital following the smash.
Families Pay Heartfelt Tributes
Both families have spoken out, mourning their terrible loss. Marvin’s family said: “The world has lost a true gentleman, a loving son, brother, father, and friend. The support we’re receiving shows just how deeply he was loved.”
Andrew’s loved ones added: “Andrew was a devoted husband and father, a cherished son, and a loyal friend. His death has devastated us all. So unexpected. So unjust.”
“He’s left an unfillable void in our hearts. We will remember him every day with a smile and tears for a life so full of promise that was cruelly cut short.”

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Portsmouth police are still investigating the crash and want to talk to anyone who saw the grey Renault Megane or black Peugeot 207 on Portsdown Hill around the time of the collision on May 30.
Sergeant Spencer Wragg said: “We’re especially keen to see any dash cam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.”
He urged the public to avoid speculation on social media, respecting the grieving families’ privacy.
