Triple Murder Shocks Clifton: Mother and Two Toddlers Killed in Deliberate Fire

A 28-year-old mum and her two young daughters were brutally killed in a house fire sparked on purpose in Clifton. The blaze tore through their home in Fairisle Close in the early hours of Sunday, leaving Fatoumatta Hydara, 28, and her little girls, Fatimah Drammeh, 3, and Naeemah Drammeh, just 1, dead.

Police Launch Triple Murder Probe

Police and fire officers quickly ruled the fire was no accident. A full murder inquiry is now underway. Detectives have charged a 31-year-old man from Clifton and have been granted an extra 24 hours to question him, with the deadline set for 6.40pm on Thursday, November 24.

40 Detectives Tackle Investigation

A massive team of 40 detectives, along with specialist officers, are working non-stop. They’re sifting through CCTV, conducting forensic tests, digital analysis, and talking to witnesses to piece together what happened on that fateful night.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Sinski said: “The investigation is progressing well, and we won’t stop until we have got justice for the family.”

“This horrendous crime has shattered a family and deeply affected the Clifton community. I want to thank local residents, especially those around Fairisle Close, for their ongoing support.”
