Over Sixty firefighters and Officers from the London Fire Brigade have been called to tackle the well-developed blaze on the High Street in Walthamstow at around 10pm on Monday evening.
The road has been closed in both directions and a number of surrounding properties have been evacuated
Crews arrived to smoke and flames issuing from the property and used main jets, hose reel jets, and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze.
An early request for more firefighters was made to help tackle the blaze and contain the fire to the affected property.
Sixty firefighters and officers and an aerial ladder remain at the ongoing incident
