Blaze Breaks Out on Walthamstow High Street
Over 60 firefighters and officers from the London Fire Brigade rushed to tackle a fierce fire on Walthamstow High Street at around 10pm on Monday.
Road Shut, Nearby Homes Evacuated
The road has been shut in both directions as flames and thick smoke poured from the property. Several surrounding buildings were evacuated to keep residents safe.
Firefighters Battle Blaze With Heavy Equipment
Crews arrived to find smoke and flames roaring from the site. They attacked the fire using main jets, hose reels, and water from a nearby hydrant. An early call for backup saw the team swell to 60 firefighters and officers, with an aerial ladder still on the scene battling to contain the fire to one property.
