Tragic Crash on East Portway Claims Young Biker’s Life
At around 10.20pm on April 12, a fatal collision tore through East Portway when a motorbike smashed into a lorry.

The rider, a 20-year-old man from Andover, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are supporting the devastated family.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detectives are calling on anyone who saw the crash or the moments before it to come forward. They especially want to talk to a male cyclist who stopped to help the injured biker.
PC Helen Castle, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or the moments leading up to it. In particular, we want to speak to a male cyclist who stopped to assist the motorcyclist.”
