Drug-Linked Murder Shocks Southampton

Dawid Such was just 19 when he was found stabbed multiple times on Langhorn Road on July 24, 2022. Despite emergency efforts, he died from his injuries shortly after arriving at hospital.

Three Men Guilty of Brutal Killing

Ken Mulangala, 20, from Southampton, Cleohurtz Uchenna Onyeasi, 21, from Dartford, Kent, and Donovan Neil Thomas, 36, from London, have been found guilty of Dawid’s murder. The court revealed they were part of a County Line drug operation running between London and Southampton.

On the day of the attack, the trio cornered Dawid at his home, stabbing him in the back, leg, abdomen, and arm before fleeing the scene.

Other Suspects Cleared, But One Convicted of Helping Offender

  • Jordan Gregory Matthews, 21, of Bursledon, was found not guilty of joint enterprise murder but convicted of helping an offender.
  • Martin David Bell, 47, and Billy McIntyre, 24, were also cleared of joint enterprise murder charges.

The guilty men and Matthews remain in custody ahead of sentencing on April 27.

Detective Praises Brave Witnesses and Calls for Justice

Detective Chief Inspector Rod Kenny said: “Our thoughts remain with Dawid’s family during this heartbreaking time. The bravery and compassion shown by first responders and witnesses was crucial in bringing this case to justice.”

He added praise for the Major Crime Investigation Team and the Crown Prosecution Service for their hard work in delivering justice for Dawid’s loved ones.
