Man Jailed 27 Months After Brutal Cornwall Stabbing

Jack Clark, 33, from Par, has been sentenced to 27 months in prison following a terrifying stabbing incident in Cornwall. He pleaded guilty to wounding and carrying a knife in public during his appearance at Truro Crown Court on 12 December.

Violence Erupts at Late-Night Party

The shocking attack happened in the early hours of 31 March 2023 at a friend’s home in Roche. Around 2am, two women burst into the party, shouting abuse and demanding to confront someone inside. The victim tried to calm matters and get them to leave.

But tensions soared when Clark confronted the victim outside. One of the women punched the man in the face before Clark pulled a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

Close Call: Victim Survives Life-Threatening Wound

The victim was rushed to Royal Cornwall Hospital, then transferred to Derriford with a four-inch stab wound near his breastbone. Clark denied carrying the knife, but the judge dismissed this claim.

“Jack Clark armed himself and travelled to the address knowing an altercation was likely,” said DC Emily Rickard.

“He purposefully stabbed the victim and it is only down to pure luck – just inches – that this didn’t turn into a murder investigation.”

“Anybody who carries and brandishes a knife risks destroying lives, including their own.”

Clark was arrested, remained silent during questioning, and now faces over two years behind bars for his violent crime.
