At around 5:55 PM, a man was attacked by three suspects who subjected him to a serious sexual assault. The victim is now receiving specialist support, with officers focusing on his care and recovery.

Detectives believe this was a targeted assault, reassuring locals that there is no wider threat. They want to speak to three black men in their 30s seen near the scene. All wore black and white scarves; one donned jeans while another wore trousers with pockets.

“Our specialist team is supporting the victim and we’re pursuing all leads to catch those responsible,” said Detective Inspector Andrew Day. “You’ll notice more police patrols in the area. If you spot anything suspicious or have footage, please come forward.”
