Sussex Police are on the lookout for anyone who saw a brutal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy on Eastbourne Promenade. The attack happened between 4:05pm and 4:20pm on November 10, near the pier and bandstand.
Teenager Injured in Daylight Attack
The victim was with two friends when a gang of seven boys and young men launched the assault. The 17-year-old suffered a hand injury that police say looks like a stabbing wound. He was treated at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and has now been discharged.
Six Arrested—but All Are on Bail
Sussex Police have arrested six suspects aged 14 to 20 in connection to the attack. One faces charges of wounding with intent. Despite arrests, all have been released on strict bail conditions while the investigation continues.

The assault took place on a busy stretch of the lower Promenade in broad daylight, leaving locals shocked. Sussex Police have boosted patrols in the area to keep the public safe and to flush out further leads.
“This happened in a busy, well-trafficked area during daylight. We urge anyone who saw anything to step forward,” a police spokesperson said.
