Teen Arrested After Knife Fight Breaks Out at Queensbury Underground Station

A teenage boy has been arrested after police responded to reports of a knife fight at uk/where/queensbury/">Queensbury Underground station on Monday evening.

British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the scene at approximately 5:30pm on 24 March following multiple reports of a disturbance involving knives on the station platform.

 

Officers quickly attended and detained a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of a Class B drug. No injuries have been reported at this time.

The incident caused concern among commuters and local residents, with the presence of weapons in a busy transport hub sparking renewed calls for increased safety measures on the Tube network.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. BTP is urging anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for BTP said:

“Officers were called to Queensbury underground station at around 5.30pm yesterday (24 March) to reports of a fight involving knives on the platform.

One boy aged 16 was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of a drug (Class B). Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
