Repeat Offender Jailed for Indecent Exposure in Charity Shop – Child Witnessed Horror
A 72-year-old repeat sex offender has been locked up after exposing himself in a charity shop in Devizes — with a child watching in horror.
Philip Harding Caught in the Act
Philip Harding, from The Lye, Seend, was spotted inside a shop on The Brittox on 31 May. He indecently exposed and sexually pleased himself in full view of a victim and their young daughter.
Justice Served: 12 Months Behind Bars
On Friday 18 July, Harding was sentenced to 12 months in prison for his shocking behaviour. The court also slapped him with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to protect the public from further abuse.
Police Praise Community for Speaking Out
“Indecent exposure is a serious offence,” a spokesperson said. “Thanks to the victim for reporting this crime — community support is vital for bringing offenders to justice.”
The case sends a clear warning: offenders won’t get off lightly when children are involved.
