Serious Crash on A229 Near Maidstone – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Kent Police are hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage after a nasty smash between a white van and a cyclist near Maidstone.
Early Morning Collision on Linton Road
The crash happened on the A229, Linton Road, close to Loose, just before 5.33am on Wednesday, 27 August. It was near the junction with Rosemount Close.
The cyclist was seriously injured and rushed to a london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London hospital by air ambulance after paramedics treated him at the scene.
Specialist Unit Leads Investigation
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is on the case. They want anyone who was near the scene between 5.15am and 5.40am to come forward – especially if you’ve got dashcam footage.
“We are particularly keen to hear from motorists who may have dashcam footage from the A229 between 5.15am and 5.40am. Any detail, however small, could help us establish the full circumstances.”
