Man Charged with Camden Gardens Murder After Fatal Stabbing
Dwight Merrick, 35, from Beckenham, was charged with murder following a deadly stabbing last week. Alongside the murder charge, Merrick faces additional counts for possession of an offensive weapon, carrying a bladed article, and common assault linked to an earlier incident the same day. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 October, and was remanded in custody. His next hearing will take place at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 7 October.
Camden Gardens Stabbing Sends Shockwaves Through Community
Emergency services rushed to Camden Gardens, NW1, at 3:29pm on Saturday, 27 September after reports of a stabbing. Shaun Latimer-Kayser, 44, was found with serious stab wounds and later died in hospital despite paramedics’ efforts. Specialist officers are supporting Shaun’s grieving family as the investigation continues.
Second Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail
A 47-year-old man from north west London was arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this week. He has since been freed on bail while inquiries carry on.
