Man Arrested After Wild Stolen Car Chase in Sussex
A thrilling police chase ended with the arrest of a 19-year-old man driving a stolen Ford Focus along busy Sussex roads on Friday night.
Stolen Ford Focus Flees Along A259
Officers from Sussex and Surrey Roads Policing caught wind of a stolen Ford Focus speeding along the A259 in Lancing on June 7. The driver then tore down Old 1 Road and the A283, careering towards the High Trees roundabout in Bramber.
Driver Ditches Car, Hides in Bushes
At the roundabout, the driver bailed out and vanished into nearby bushes. A swift police search found Oltjan Mici, 19, of Pasture Road, Lewisham, hiding in a garden’s greenery.
Serious Charges and Court Date
Mici faced a slew of charges including dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, actual bodily harm, and driving while disqualified. He was remanded in custody and is due at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 10.
