Essex Police Granted More Time to Question Murder Suspect Terrance Glover

Detectives investigating the shocking murder of schoolboy Harley Watson have been given extra time to question suspect Terrance Glover. The 51-year-old from Loughton was arrested by armed police and faces a slew of serious charges, including murder and multiple attempted murders.

Massive Charge Sheet for Loughton Man

  • Murder of Harley Watson
  • Six counts of attempted murder
  • Causing death by dangerous driving
  • Six counts of causing serious injury by driving
  • Failing to stop at collision scene
  • Driving without insurance

Essex Police have extended Glover’s custody by 24 hours due to the “serious and complex” nature of the case.

Health Scare in Custody

On Tuesday morning, Glover was rushed under police escort to Broomfield Hospital’s A&E after reportedly taking an unknown number of pills. Forensics were seen taking evidence, including his clothes, from the hospital.

Police Probe Under Independent Watch

In a rare move, Essex Police voluntarily referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). This follows previous contact between the force and Glover, who remains at the centre of a brutal incident on Willingale Road, Loughton, on December 2.

Officials will need to seek magistrates’ approval if more time is required to hold Glover in custody.
