Teen Stabbed to Death in Croydon – Police Make Arrest
Detectives have arrested a woman following the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Tai Jordan O’Donnell in Croydon. The investigation is ongoing as police appeal for more witnesses to come forward.
Detective Speaks Out
Homicide Detective Chief Inspector Mick Norman said: “Although we haven’t had a formal ID yet, we’re confident the deceased is Tai Jordan O’Donnell from Croydon, just 19 years old.”
“Our thoughts are with Tai’s family and friends as they struggle to come to terms with this tragedy. It’s too early to speculate on any motive.”
“Even with an arrest made, I urge anyone with information who hasn’t spoken to police to get in touch. If you’re reluctant to talk to officers, please contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”
What Happened?
- Police were called at 12:12pm on Wednesday, 3 March, to Alpha Road where Tai was found with stab wounds to his legs.
- Tai was pronounced dead at the scene five minutes later, at 12:17pm.
- A post-mortem will be conducted, and a crime scene remains in place.
- A 22-year-old woman was arrested the next day on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody at a south London police station.
