A13 SHUT AFTER DEADLY ‘ROAD RAGE’ CRASH BETWEEN SPORTS CAR AND MOTORBIKE
The A13 remains closed this afternoon following a shocking crash involving a motorcyclist near the M25 junction at Lakeside. The smash happened at around 3.45pm on the eastbound carriageway.
Fury on the Fast Lane: Ducati and VW Golf Racing Before Crash
Witnesses say a red Ducati V2 Panigale and a high-powered VW Golf were racing along the A13 when disaster struck. The biker was flung from his bike on impact, leaving huge black skid marks at the scene.
Massive Tailbacks Despite Lockdown
Despite Covid lockdown rules still in place, traffic has backed up over three miles. Police are diverting vehicles via slip roads at the Mar Dyke Interchange. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Essex Roads Policing officers are on site, alongside an air ambulance crew who treated the rider for serious injuries. Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
