Man Charged with Murder After Brutal Colindale Stabbing
A knife attack in Colindale has left one man dead and another charged with murder. Police were called to Montrose Park at 5.54pm on Monday, 31 May after reports of a fight involving a group of males. Officers found 22-year-old Al-Sadiq Mohamed Ishaq-Adam with a stab wound.
Despite frantic efforts by emergency services, Al-Sadiq was pronounced dead at 7.19pm. A post-mortem at Northwick Park Hospital confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
Victim’s Identity Confirmed by Family
Friends initially knew the victim as Azadeeq Mohamed, but close family overseas have since confirmed his full name as Al-Sadiq Mohamed Ishaq-Adam, born 17 August 1998.
Police Launch Murder Investigation – Multiple Arrests Made
The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is leading the investigation. Twelve men have been arrested on suspicion of offences including affray, robbery, and murder. Ten suspects have been released on bail.
An 18-year-old man, Nick Kaneza from Elstree Road, Hemel Hempstead, has been charged with murder. He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 June.
Another 18-year-old, Mohammed Yusuf from Capitol Way, NW9, was charged with robbery and remanded in custody. His next court hearing is pending.
