The Met Police are hunting for Abu Faye, 26, who made a daring escape from Croydon Crown Court last Tuesday.

Race Against Time After Court Escape

At 16:01 on March 17, Faye was spotted on CCTV slipping out of court during a hearing for serious drug offences. Just two minutes later, police were informed he had bolted on foot, vanishing without a trace.

Drug Charges and Guilty Plea

The Hackney man faced a staggering ten charges, including five counts of possession with intent to supply and five for possession of Class A and B drugs. He admitted guilt to the latter half, prompting the judge to order him remanded — but Faye had other plans.

Police Issue Public Warning

  • Faye has links to Penge and Cambridge.
  • Officers are urgently analysing CCTV and chasing all leads.
  • The public is urged not to approach him.
  • If spotted, call 999 immediately quoting CAD 4966/17MARCH.

“If you see Faye or have any information, please do not approach him but call 999 quoting CAD 4966/17MARCH,” police warn.
