The Met Police are in hot pursuit of Abu Faye, 26, after his brazen escape from Croydon Crown Court last Tuesday.
Dramatic Court Breakout Sparks Police Hunt
At 4.01pm on March 17, Faye was caught on CCTV making a slick getaway during his hearing for serious drug charges. Just two minutes later, cops were alerted he had fled on foot, disappearing without a trace.
Drug Dealer Flees Despite Guilty Plea
The Hackney man faced 10 serious charges, including five counts of possession with intent to supply and five for Class A and B drugs. He pleaded guilty to the possession offences, leading the judge to order him held on remand. But Faye clearly had other ideas.
Police Urge Public: Do Not Approach Faye
- Faye has known links to Penge and Cambridge areas.
- Officers are urgently scouring CCTV footage and chasing every lead.
- The public is warned not to confront him.

“If you see Faye or have any information, please do not approach him but call 999 quoting CAD 4966/17MARCH,” police urged.
