Serious Attack Shakes Upper Elmers End Road
A man in his 40s is in a critical state after suffering life-threatening head injuries in a violent assault on Upper Elmers End Road, Bromley, last Sunday night (16 March).
Emergency crews rushed to the scene at 8:24pm. Police and London Ambulance Service treated the victim before speeding him to a nearby hospital for urgent care. His condition remains grave as medics monitor him closely.
29-Year-Old Held on Suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm
Police have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in custody while the investigation continues. Authorities say they are not currently seeking any further suspects in connection with the attack.
“Police were called at 20:24hrs on Sunday, 16 March to reports of an assault on Upper Elmers End Road, Bromley. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and a man in his 40s was found with head injuries. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as life-threatening. A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody. At this time, police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.” – Metropolitan Police Spokesperson
