Tragic Death on Hyde Road
Greater Manchester Police have launched a murder investigation after a 43-year-old woman was found dead on Hyde Road in Manchester on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Officers and emergency services raced to the scene around 11:20 BST following concerns for the woman’s welfare. Despite frantic resuscitation efforts, she sadly died at the scene.
Man Arrested and Questioned
A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody being questioned. The force’s Professional Standards Branch is reviewing the case due to previous contact with the individuals involved.
Investigation Underway with Community Appeal
Detective Superintendent Helen Critchley, head of Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, expressed heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and friends. She confirmed specialist officers are supporting the family during this difficult time.
