Young Man Shot Dead on Wandsworth Street
Detectives launch urgent probe after a man in his 20s was fatally shot on Shuttleworth Road, Wandsworth, last Thursday night.
Tragic Night on Shuttleworth Road
Police and London Ambulance rushed to reports of gunshots at 9.50pm on 5 October. They found the victim critically injured. Despite their best efforts, he died at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation at the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, offered condolences: “This is a tragic incident where a young man has lost his life whilst standing on a street in Battersea. Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to struggle with this terrible news.”
Detective Chief Superintendent Clair Kelland, covering Wandsworth, promised an increased police presence and urged locals to come forward with any information.
