Late-Night Robbery Shakes Ramsgate
Kent Police are hunting witnesses after a robbery in Ramsgate on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
The drama unfolded just before midnight at La Belle Alliance Square when two men reportedly attacked a man and snatched his backpack. The incident was first reported by a third party, not the victim.
Suspect Arrested and Released
Officers rushed to the scene and arrested a 55-year-old man nearby, suspecting him of robbery. He has since been released, but the investigation is very much alive and ongoing.
Shockingly, the victim was nowhere to be found when police arrived and has yet to come forward.
Police Plead for Witnesses and Victim to Speak Up
