Pervert Jamie Lee Parsons Jailed for Harassing Women in Brighton

Jamie Lee Parsons, 31, from Brighton, has been locked up for eight months after terrorising women in public. The unemployed man pleaded guilty at Hove Crown Court for causing a public nuisance by making lewd, sexual, and offensive comments to female supermarket staff, customers, and women on the streets of Lewes Road between May and October 2021.

Disturbing Harassment Spree Caught on CCTV

Parsons targeted ten women, bombarding them with unwanted sexual remarks, asking for personal details, and even following some. His twisted behaviour left victims terrified and distressed, feeling unsafe even in familiar places.

Despite initially denying the allegations, Parsons was identified thanks to detailed victim statements and CCTV footage. After a tough police investigation involving multiple ID procedures, Parsons was finally arrested and charged.

Restraining Order and Tough Police Response

Alongside his prison sentence, Parsons was slapped with an indefinite restraining order. He is banned from entering or loitering outside the two shops involved and must not contact or follow the victims.

Detective Inspector Simon Morgan said: “We will always seek to take action on reports of inappropriate and offensive behaviour towards women and girls, and will do all we can to prosecute offenders and bring them to justice.”

“If you are subject to offensive or inappropriate conduct in public, contact us online or by calling 101.”

Parsons also faced a sexual assault charge but pleaded not guilty. However, this evidence was included in his conviction for public nuisance. The police continue to urge victims of similar offences to come forward.
