On Sunday, January 22, 2023, around 5.55 p.m., a black Ford Focus collided with two cyclists in Brook Street near the intersection with Preston Lane.
Officers were present, as were the South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance. A woman with serious injuries was flown to a London hospital, and a teenage girl was taken to a local hospital.
The driver pulled over and was approached by police.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of it, especially another motorist who is believed to have stopped at the scene but fled before officers arrived.
